Create a Salaried/Fixed-Term Faculty position (a position from 1- 5 years in duration for which the faculty member will receive continuous monthly payments) and less than 50% FTE (full-time equivalent, or less than 30 hours per week)

Use HRAS to complete NEW POSITION; gather PI and chair approvals. SOP Finance will verify that funding sources exist to fund the potential new hire

Note: this does not verify funding for ad fees or recruitment expenses (i.e., food, dinner, or other expenses – instead, use InfoPharm to verify funding for ads/recruitment expenses).

Contact finalist candidates to complete required paperwork for submission with HRAS New Hire action:

o AP-2

o AP-2a

o CV in the preferred format

o Two outside letters of recommendation

o Criminal Convictions Check Form, returned in a sealed Envelope directly to SOP HR

3. Candidate Lastname, First Name NE CV Effective Date (XX/XX/XXXX)

4. Candidate Lastname, First Name NE Chair’s Recommendation Letter Effective Date (XX/XX/XXXX)

5. Candidate Lastname, First Name NE Outside Letters Effective Date (XX/XX/XXXX)
